Safety & Accessibility

TalkDelay is built for short, adult-guided learning moments that welcome speech, AAC, signs, gestures, pointing and tapping.

Child-first safeguards

  • Speech is encouraged without claiming pronunciation accuracy or diagnosis.
  • Help, another way, pause and explicit skip remain available.
  • Forward movement in a speech activity requires a communication turn or an intentional Skip.
  • Parent areas use a grown-up gate during lessons.
  • Optional video and speech assessment require parent choices.
  • TalkDelay does not intentionally store child voice recordings.

Accessible interaction

  • Keyboard-operable controls, visible focus and descriptive labels.
  • Large touch targets and responsive layouts.
  • Quiet mode and reduced-motion support.
  • Captions and transcripts required for publishable original videos.
  • Learning remains available when microphone or enhanced assessment is unavailable.

How families can help

Use a comfortable volume, supervise device use, take breaks, accept every communication mode and stop if a child is distressed. For immediate danger contact local emergency services. For individual developmental or health concerns contact an appropriate qualified professional.

Report a barrier or safety concern

Email aiwingmen@gmail.com with the page, device, browser and a description that does not include unnecessary child information.
