Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: September 18, 2026 · Policy version 2026-09-18.1
This policy explains how TalkDelay handles information when a parent or caregiver uses this website and its learning activities.
Information we handle
- Parent accounts: username, parent email, password hash, verification status and security records managed by WordPress.
- Family learning information: nickname, age, preferences, activity participation and progress are currently stored in that browser’s local storage and are not synced between devices.
- Speech features: the browser may request microphone permission. Temporary replay stays in browser memory and is cleared when another attempt or activity begins. TalkDelay does not intentionally retain recordings. If a parent separately enables enhanced assessment, audio is sent to the configured speech provider for processing.
- Payments: Stripe handles payment-card details. TalkDelay receives customer, subscription and transaction identifiers, status and plan information—not full card numbers.
- Operations: security logs, server logs and optional aggregate event counts may include technical information needed to protect and operate the service. Aggregate TalkDelay counters do not include child names, transcripts or recordings.
Parent support messages
When you contact support, we store your name, email, topic, message, page path, ticket status and, if signed in, account identifier in a private WordPress support inbox. We attempt to email an acknowledgement and notify the site operator. Email acceptance is not proof of delivery. Short-lived keyed identifiers derived from the network address and email help limit abuse. Do not include child recordings, medical records, passwords or identifying child details. Support records currently require manual review and deletion by the operator; there is no automatic retention cutoff. Contact the operator below to request access or deletion.
How information is used
We use information to create and secure parent accounts, provide learning activities, remember settings, show progress, deliver requested emails, process subscriptions, prevent abuse and maintain the service. TalkDelay does not sell personal information or use child activity data for behavioral advertising.
Children and parental supervision
TalkDelay is designed for parent- or caregiver-guided use. Adults create accounts, choose settings and control optional microphone and assessment features. Do not enter a child’s full legal name, email, address, school or other unnecessary identifying information in a nickname or free-text field.
Sharing and service providers
Information may be processed by hosting, email, security, Stripe payment and—only when a parent enables it—speech-processing providers. Providers receive only the information needed for their role and operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.
Retention and choices
Parents can export or erase browser-stored profiles and learning history from Progress. Clearing browser data may also remove them. Account information and billing records are retained only as reasonably needed for security, service, tax, dispute and legal obligations. Parents may request account access or deletion using the contact below; some records may be retained when legally required.
Cookies and local storage
TalkDelay uses essential WordPress login/security cookies and browser storage needed for profiles, preferences, sessions and progress. Optional aggregate analytics remain disabled unless the operator enables them. This release does not add advertising trackers.
Security, changes and contact
No system can guarantee absolute security. We use access controls, verification, rate limits and restricted provider credentials. Material policy changes receive a new version and date. Questions or privacy requests: aiwingmen@gmail.com.
